Participation is vital because it creates a community within the classroom. It allows one to get to know one’s peers through their thoughts and ideas. This further creates a connection with others through a healthy debate and thus creating a better classroom environment. Class is sometimes run like a discussion, so that students can express opinions and questions . By involving students in discussions, they are able to participate in their educational development and this can be highly beneficial towards their final mark. Participation will benefit everyone, as participation will help keep the mind involved and paying attention to the topic being discussed.
